Our Spring Visit Home-Illinois

We arrived in Illinois on Monday with the usual flight pattern. A 9 hour flight on an Air Force C-5 airplane from our terminal on base to Dover Air Force Base. From there, our great friend Jeff was waiting and drove us to Philadelphia to catch a quick flight to Chicago. Justin's parents were there waiting for us to drive us down to central Illinois. A long day and we were up for about 23 hours traveling when all was said and done but we are so glad to be home and are thankful for all the help we received along the way! It is a relief to be here with family and friends while Justin is gone.
Below are some pics of our first week home in Illinois. Some are around the house and some are from the local zoo and park we went to. O loved the zoo, and the weather, normally a little sketchy in Illinois in the spring, has been picture perfect! We have one more week here in Illinois and then we move on to visit my sister and her family in Utah.

Just hanging around the grandparent's house.

Checking out an animal at the zoo.

Awaiting her turn on the carousel. She was so excited and picked out the giraffe to sit on.

We had so much fun riding the carousel at the zoo. O loved it and so did I. These are the things I will remember when I am old.

Another pass on the carousel. Her Papa was snapping away on the camera.

After the zoo, we went walking around the park and lake. O had a picnic lunch and we spent a few minutes checking out the geese in the water. O and her grandparents taking a stroll.

Peek-a-boo!

The garage sale find! The Boyd's have fantastic wood floors and tons of space to run around on their main floor. I found this ride-on at a garage sale for $3 and she loves it! She rides everywhere around their house.

I'm glad you got there-even if it took quite a journey. We miss you here and look forward to seeing you again. Yes, you will remember these moments-not just when you are old, but when Olivia gets a little older and you miss her little-ness. Take care!

Did you pass a garage sale on your way from my house?
