We were able to get a nice little Christmas tree from the base exchange last week. There was a small hiccup when we realized that the exchange doesn't sell tree stands. We looked all over and until we noticed that the tree had a small root ball attached, and next to the trees were black plastic flower pots. So we started a new Christmas tradition - the potting of the tree. Later we went about the job of trimming the tree and decorating the house. Fortunately, we brought two plastic tubs of decorations, just enough to give the house the Christmas feel.
O and Heather put decorations on the tree. O basically threw the decorations onto the tree, they gathered into a nice pile at the bottom.
She got the hang of it.
I think it looks pretty good. The house is cozy and with the addition of some Christmas music we are now fully in the holiday spirit.
