The Backyardigans

So there is this children's show called "The Backyardigans" about animal kids who create adventures in their backyards. This show is awesome. I used to make fun of it when my sister's kids would watch it until I saw how much it captured O's attention at a very young age. Now we watch it and she sits and stares at the TV mesmerized by their choreographed songs, which are really catchy tunes! I guess this is my formal apology for ever making fun of this show. I love it now just as much as O does and am actually disappointed when they are all repeats. Below are some pics I captured of O watching. She's not a baby anymore...

O wants to dance with them! She's actually trying.

We used to have the TV on all of the time and Braden wouldn't watch a thing. I believe it was a few months ago we started using those baby Einstein DVDS...and bang...the kid is hooked.

first of all... I was going to post about the Baby Einstein DVDs... but impressively not only did my husband check this on his own... he wrote a comment!!! Yes... the DVDs, he is completely addicted and no joke, it has expanded his vocabulary and they have ones with sign language... and he picked it up all on his own! It's a bit repetive for the adults, but perfect if you need to do the dishes because it's not a bad TV, it's like a book on TV! :)

The singing is hypnotic. I think Odysseus's sirens must've sounded like that

Lizzie is obsessed, yes at just the tender age of 4 months, with a DVD called "Meet the Colors." It is by Preschool Prep, and she cannot get enough of it. She just stares at the tv whenever it is on!!! :)
